Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19th November 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Aneo B.V. (“Aneo”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on aneo.io and all subdomains and aliases, for example app.aneo.io, api.aneo.io, docs.aneo.io, status.aneo.io, and any future subdomains under *.aneo.io.
We use only the cookies that are needed to run the site and to understand usage. We do not use interest‑based advertising cookies.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser that help a site work or remember your preferences.
Local storage and session storage let your browser keep small pieces of data for a better app experience.
Pixels and SDKs are tools used by some providers to measure usage. We avoid them unless strictly necessary.
These technologies are widely used to keep you signed in, keep the site secure, remember choices, and understand how people use our products.
2. How we classify cookies
Strictly necessary – required for the site or app to function, for security, for load balancing, and for your cookie preferences.
Functional – improve features and remember choices, for example language or UI settings.
Analytics – help us understand usage so we can improve the product. Set only with your consent where required by law.
Optional marketing – set by HubSpot when forms, chat, or email tracking are enabled. Set only with your consent and only on pages that use these features.
We do not serve interest‑based advertising cookies and we do not use Facebook Pixel.
3. What we set and why
The cookies and similar technologies below are typical for our stack. Names may differ slightly by browser and version.
3.1 Strictly necessary
Examples include:
Session identifiers for authentication to keep you signed in.
Security cookies to protect forms and sessions.
A cookie that stores your cookie preferences so we can honor your choices.
Load‑balancer cookies that help route traffic reliably.
3.2 Functional
Examples include:
Remembering your last used module or UI preferences.
Local storage used by the application to cache non‑sensitive settings.
3.3 Analytics (consent‑based)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand site and product usage.
GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.
We enable privacy‑focused settings and respect your consent.
Typical cookies:
_ga,_ga_<container‑id>.
3.4 Optional marketing (consent‑based and only where enabled)
If we embed HubSpot forms, chat, or email tracking on a page, HubSpot may set cookies to remember a visitor and associate form submissions with a contact.
Typical cookies: __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssrc, __hssc.
HubSpot cookies appear only on pages that use HubSpot features. If you decline Marketing in the banner, these cookies are not set.
4. Cookie table
| Category | Provider | Examples | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Aneo | cookie_consent, session cookie, load‑balancer cookie | Security, session, routing, store consent choices | Session to 1 year |
| Functional | Aneo | local storage keys (UI settings) | Remember preferences, improve experience | Until cleared |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | _ga, _ga_<container‑id> | Measure usage to improve the product | 24 months (typical) |
| Marketing (optional) | HubSpot | __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssrc, __hssc | Contact association for forms, chat, email | 6 months to 13 months |
Exact names and lifetimes can change as providers update their services. We keep this table current and honor your banner choices.
5. Consent and how to change your choices
In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we ask for consent before setting non‑essential cookies.
You can change your choices at any time with Cookie Settings on our site. This reopens the banner so you can allow or reject categories.
If you clear cookies in your browser, our site will ask for your choices again on your next visit.
We record a minimal log of your consent choices, including date, time, country, and categories selected.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may break essential features. To manage cookies, check your browser’s help pages. You can also install Google’s Analytics Opt‑out add‑on for supported browsers if you prefer not to be measured by Google Analytics.
7. Third‑party cookies
Some third‑party providers set cookies when their features are active. These providers have their own policies. See our https://www.aneo.io/subprocessors/ page for vendors we use.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. The Last updated date shows the current version.
